This is a fairly straight forward Assault and doesn’t require much of a guide…

You’ll need this; print out, copy it, whatever, just make sure you are looking at it while reading this section. Also, this Assault takes place in Leujaoam Sanctum

The “short version†of the strategy
Cyclonus’s recommended* party setup: x4 melee, x1 sleeper (silence is also a very nice thing to have, but IMO not necessary) and x1 healer
*This my own personal take on it; please do not limit yourselves or state that “Cyclonus said, blah blah blah,†any group that works well together can complete this Assault – with a bit of luck
NOTE: This “short version†does not cover the full Assault, it is only meant as an overview/high-level guide.
Strategy: Zone in, follow the map above, clear all 15 worms. Unfortunately, the map above doesn’t label where the worms are (they are worms and I guess technically, they can move). So, Widescan may prove useful.
The “Real†Guide

Strategy: So, this is pretty simple (in theory and provided people work as a group – but isn’t that true for all Assaults?). The idea is to clear the zone of monsters; there are 15 worm-type mobs, all have the standard worm type attacks and magic.
Now for the most part, you will be fighting a single worm at a However, there are 3 instances where you will up to 2 links (more on this later).
Effectively, you should make your way around the map. You start around G-8 and should make your way “North†killing any worms along the way. At H-7 you will have a choice between a “North†and “South†route, I suggest you take the North route and clear any worms in your path.
Eventually, you will hit the “loop†continue “East†along the loop – you will hit a dead-end, so give it a second and make sure you have cleared all worms in this area.
Circle back around the “West†side of the loop; eventually you will reach a room with a “drop†and 3 worms.
Let the sleeper decide which worm to fight first, second and third – and please follow his/her direction. I know as a BRD, sleeping, Refreshing, Buffing and Debuffing in a very time restricted zone is a bitch… so don’t make it any more complicated than it is. Also, DO NOT USE ANY DoT SPELLS on the slept mobs – you can die and dying, is not good…
Any way, after you have cleared the room, drop down. Follow the path into the big room in the SE corner of the map (known as the 6-worm room, because…get this… it has 6 worms!). See paragraph above for strategy on sleeping the worms.
Clear this room and proceed to the Rune of Release at I-8.
