So I got my keys (thanks to Maior) and I made it to Kazham. Now I go about getting a party. When I get into a party, guess what we were fighting?
Mandys.
Yep, you heard me, mandys. "ARGH!" I thought, "No more mandys!" But let me tell you something brother, that's all you wanna fight in those jungles. Damn there is some evil and nasty stuff there.
After a couple hours of play, I was booted off for server maintenance, and I never made it to 26. I'll be trying tonight again to do it, but, unless I get a very good group, I think I'll be zoning more than levelling.
So, how is or has everyone else survived the jungle? This place is a nightmare, and there are so many parties there the lag is unberable.
Mandys then gobs
Yes Yuhtunga Jungle is a nightmare area. The mobs are really mean, most aggro, and there are gobs galore. The real reason it's bad, however, is because this is the real proving grounds for partying. It's now or never to learn the ropes. You may have coasted through the Dunes on your good looks, and you may have breezed through Qufim on your witty charm, but unless you know what you're doing in Yuhtunga, you are pretty well screwed.
You do start by killing Mandys, and most people tend to huddle around the zone nearest Kazham so they can easily escape if needed. The problem is, by sticking so close to the zone you run the risk of getting aggroed by angry gobs that already chased another party to the zone. So, really, it's a Catch-22: You'd probably find safer areas deeper in that would have much less lag, but your party probably wont survive getting there as your teammates will probably not be too good at avoiding detecting yet.
After Mandys, people say you need to move down to Yhoator Jungle and take... more Mandys. Sure, you can do this, and the EXP can be good... but EVERYONE does this. And what with the trained gobs and lag I find it's best to stay in the first Jungle and just take on gobs there. Once you hit 27 or 28 you will be able to take the gobs as a party, and you'll get great EXP. You will run the risk of bombs, but not the sleep that the Mandys will give. And you can move deeper, away from the zone, the trails of gobs, and the lag.
Of course, getting your party to listen to you is another story.
